The 1970s was an interesting era for Fender. After the massive success of the '60s, CBS aimed to increase profits by cutting costs in the manufacturing process. But that doesn't mean guitars from the '70s aren’t worth your time—far from it. This late-'70s Stratocaster is living proof that great instruments were still being made during that period!

De Fender Stratocaster is sinds zijn introductie in 1954 niet meer weg te denken uit het muzieklandschap. In de jaren ’70 onderging het model verschillende veranderingen die het duidelijk onderscheiden van eerdere versies. Denk aan de grotere kop, de bullet truss rod en de driepunts halsverbinding. Met zijn gewicht van 4,8 kilogram valt deze Stratocaster bovendien in de categorie “zwaargewicht”, zoals wel vaker het geval is bij exemplaren uit dit decennium.
Deze Stratocaster verkeert nog in originele staat en is uitgerust met de originele set single-coil pickups, die zorgen voor die typerende ‘70s Strat sound—iets meer sprankelende hoogten dan bij zijn voorgangers uit de jaren ’60. Ook de potmeters, brug en stemmechanieken zijn origineel.
De sunburst finish heeft aan de randen een warme, bruine gloed gekregen, wat deze gitaar een prachtige “Chocolate Burst” uitstraling geeft. Hoewel er wat gebruikssporen zichtbaar zijn—voornamelijk op de body—is de gitaar in uitstekende staat voor een vintage Strat van 46 jaar oud.

The Fender Stratocaster has been an essential part of modern music since its debut in 1954. During the 1970s, the model saw several changes that set it apart from earlier versions. This example features the larger headstock, bullet truss rod, and three-bolt neck joint that defined the era. And with a hefty weight of 4.8 kilograms, it firmly represents the substantial build of many '70s Strats.
This Stratocaster remains in its original condition, equipped with its factory trio of single-coil pickups that deliver the unmistakable '70s Strat tone—slightly more spanky and brilliant than the smoother sounds of the '60s. The potentiometers, bridge, and tuners are all original as well.
The edges of the sunburst finish have mellowed into a rich, chocolatey brown, giving it a beautiful “Chocolate Burst” appearance. While it shows some dings and scratches—mostly on the body—the guitar is in excellent condition for a vintage instrument that's nearly half a century old.
It comes in a hardshell case with a TFOA passport and the original warranty cards.

Diese Stratocaster befindet sich im Originalzustand und ist mit dem werkseitigen Trio von Single-Coil-Tonabnehmern ausgestattet, die den unverwechselbaren 70er-Jahre-Strat-Ton liefern - etwas spritziger und brillanter als die weicheren Sounds der 60er-Jahre. Die Potentiometer, der Steg und die Mechaniken sind ebenfalls alle original.
Die Ränder der Sunburst-Lackierung sind zu einem satten, schokoladenbraunen Farbton verblasst, was ihr ein schönes "Chocolate Burst"-Aussehen verleiht. Die Gitarre weist zwar einige Dellen und Kratzer auf - vor allem am Korpus -, ist aber für ein Instrument, das fast ein halbes Jahrhundert alt ist, in ausgezeichnetem Zustand.
Sie wird in einem Hartschalenkoffer mit einem TFOA-Pass und den originalen Garantiekarten geliefert.
