The 1970s was an interesting era for Fender. After the massive success of the '60s, CBS aimed to increase profits by cutting costs in the manufacturing process. But that doesn't mean guitars from the '70s aren’t worth your time—far from it. This late-'70s Stratocaster is living proof that great instruments were still being made during that period!

De Fender Stratocaster is sinds zijn introductie in 1954 niet meer weg te denken uit het muzieklandschap. In de jaren 70 onderging het model verschillende veranderingen die het duidelijk onderscheiden van eerdere versies. Denk hierbij aan de grotere headstock, de bullet truss rod en de driepunts halsverbinding. Met een gewicht van 3.6 kg valt deze Stratocaster bovendien op als een relatief licht exemplaar voor een Strat uit dit tijdperk.
Deze Stratocaster verkeert nog in originele staat en is uitgerust met de originele set single coil pickups, die zorgen voor de typerende 70s Strat sound met iets sprankelender hoge tonen dan bij zijn voorgangers uit de jaren 60.
Hoewel er wat gebruikssporen zichtbaar zijn, voornamelijk op de body, verkeert de gitaar in zeer goede staat voor een vintage Strat van 46 jaar oud. Een prachtig voorbeeld van een klassieke 70s Fender dat nog jarenlang speelplezier kan bieden.

The Fender Stratocaster has been an essential part of the musical landscape since its introduction in 1954. During the 1970s the model underwent several design changes that clearly set it apart from earlier versions. Features such as the larger headstock, the bullet truss rod and the three bolt neck construction became defining elements of the era. With a weight of 3.6 kg, this Stratocaster also stands out as a relatively lightweight example for a Strat from this period.
This Stratocaster remains in original condition and is equipped with its original set of single coil pickups, delivering the unmistakable 70s Strat sound with slightly brighter highs compared to its 60s predecessors.
While there are some signs of use visible, mainly on the body, the guitar remains in very good condition for a 46 year old vintage Strat. It is a great example of a classic 70s Fender that still offers plenty of inspiration for the next owner.

Die Fender Stratocaster ist seit ihrer Einführung im Jahr 1954 ein fester Bestandteil der Musikszene. In den 1970er Jahren wurde das Modell mehrfach überarbeitet, wodurch es sich deutlich von früheren Versionen unterschied. Merkmale wie der größere Kopf, der Bullet-Halsstab und die Drei-Schrauben-Halsbefestigung wurden zu prägenden Elementen dieser Ära. Mit einem Gewicht von 3,6 kg ist diese Stratocaster auch ein relativ leichtes Exemplar für eine Strat aus dieser Zeit.
