The Gibson SJ200, with its substantial size and lavish ornamentation, has long been known as the King of Flattops. The Custom Shop in Bozeman, Montana, carefully considered their top-of-the-line model when designing this parlor, as it truly is a scaled-down version!
Gibson Custom J200 Parlor Antique Natural
De J200 Parlor heeft precies dezelfde kenmerken als zijn grote broer, maar dan in een verkleind formaat. Gibson heeft de gitaar voorzien van een gevlamde esdoorn body en een Sitka sparren bovenblad met scalloped X-bracing. De body is in de breedte gekrompen van zo'n 17 inch naar 15 inch, maar heeft daarnaast wel bijna dezelfde diepte behouden. De gitaar heeft hierdoor een zeer volwassen sound met diepe bassen en een mooie articulatie van de noten, en is dankzij de LR Baggs Element VTC pickup ook nog eens eenvoudig versterkt te gebruiken.
We zien op de in Antique Natural nitrocellulose gefinishte body de kenmerkende gegraveerde slagplaat en moustache brug, terwijl de hals is versierd door een parelmoer toetsinleg en een binding die ook op de body te vinden is. Het speelgemak van deze gitaar is zoals het Gibson betaamt dik in orde, en de gitaar heeft door de kortere mensuur dan zijn inspiratiebron een comfortabel formaat.
Hoe je deze kleine flattop ook bespeeld, hij klinkt rijk, diep en is zowel geschikt voor het aanslaan van eenvoudige akkoorden als dat ze is voor uitvoerige leads. De gitaar wordt met echtheidscertificaat geleverd in een koffer.
The J200 Parlor boasts the exact same features as its bigger brother, but in a smaller size. Gibson has fitted the guitar with a flamed maple body and a Sitka spruce top with scalloped X-bracing. The body has shrunk in width from approximately 17 inches to 15 inches, while retaining almost the same depth. This gives the guitar a very mature sound with deep bass and beautiful note articulation, and thanks to the LR Baggs Element VTC pickup, it's also easy to use amplified.
The Antique Natural nitrocellulose-finished body features the signature engraved pickguard and mustache bridge, while the neck is adorned with a mother-of-pearl fingerboard inlay and binding similar to the body. As befits Gibson, this guitar is exceptionally playable, and its shorter scale length makes it a comfortable size.
However you play this small flattop, it sounds rich and deep, and is suitable for both simple chords and extended leads. The guitar comes in a hardshell case with a certificate of authenticity.
Die J200 Parlor bietet die gleichen Features wie ihr größeres Schwestermodell, nur in kompakterer Form. Gibson hat die Gitarre mit einem Korpus aus geflammtem Ahorn und einer Sitka-Fichtendecke mit X-Verstrebung ausgestattet. Die Korpusbreite wurde von ca. 17 auf 15 Zoll reduziert, während die Tiefe nahezu gleich geblieben ist. Dies verleiht der Gitarre einen sehr reifen Klang mit tiefen Bässen und einer schönen Tonartikulation. Dank des LR Baggs Element VTC-Tonabnehmers lässt sie sich auch verstärkt hervorragend spielen.
Der Korpus mit Antique Natural-Nitrozelluloselackierung verfügt über das charakteristische gravierte Schlagbrett und den markanten Steg. Der Hals ist mit einem Perlmutt-Griffbrettinlay und einem dem Korpus ähnlichen Binding verziert. Typisch für Gibson ist diese Gitarre außergewöhnlich gut bespielbar, und die kürzere Mensur sorgt für ein angenehmes Spielgefühl.
Egal wie man diese kleine Flattop-Gitarre spielt, sie klingt satt und voll und eignet sich sowohl für einfache Akkorde als auch für ausgedehnte Soli. Die Gitarre wird in einem Hartschalenkoffer mit Echtheitszertifikat geliefert.
