Santa Cruz Tony Rice Dreadnought

Tony Rice is een meer dan beroemde Bluegrass-gitarist. Tony eiste een gitaar die bovenal in balans is en is daarom in het bezit van een legendarische gitaar van Clarence White. Een Martin D28 uit 1935, een zeer typisch instrument, met vergroot klankgat dat de balans biedt die Tony nodig had.

Richard Hoover van SCGC en Tony Rice hebben jarenlang samengewerkt aan de productie van wat bekend staat als een van de beste hedendaagse bluegrassgitaren. Het Tony Rice Professional Model is verder verfijnd om dezelfde specificaties te bieden als gebruikt op de persoonlijke gitaar van Tony Rice. Palissander van de kwaliteit die je ziet in de beste vintage instrumenten en Europees sparrenhout zijn de materialen die de grootse dreadnought klank met gemak produceren.


Om de bespeelbaarheid te verbeteren zorgen een 25.4 inch mensuur en Tony's slanke V-vormige halsprofiel voor een snelle en moeiteloze actie. De houtsoorten en het intelligente ontwerp maken dit instrument tot de typische hedendaagse bluegrass dreadnought. In Tony's eigen woorden: "Dit is een gitaar waarmee je ten strijde kunt trekken". Wordt geleverd in een koffer met TFOA-paspoort.

Tony Rice is a more than famous Bluegrass guitarist. Tony demanded a guitar that above all is balanced and therefore owns a legendary guitar from Clarence White. A Martin D28 from 1935, a very typical instrument, with enlarged soundhole that provides the balance Tony needed.


Richard Hoover of SCGC and Tony Rice have collaborated for years on the production of what is known as one of the best contemporary bluegrass guitars. The Tony Rice Professional Model is further refined to offer the same specifications as those used on Tony Rice's personal guitar. Quality rosewood seen in the finest vintage instruments and European spruce are the materials that effortlessly produce the grand dreadnought sound.


To improve playability, a 25.4 inch scale length and Tony's slim V-shaped neck profile ensure fast and effortless action. The wood species and intelligent design make this instrument the typical contemporary bluegrass dreadnought. In Tony's own words: "This is a guitar you can go into battle with". Comes in a hardshell case with TFOA passport.
