De gitaar heeft een prachtige notenhouten klankkast met een ceder bovenblad. Ceder staat bekend om zijn warmte en goede respons op een lichte touch, terwijl het notenhout een soort middenweg is tussen mahonie en palissander. Het brengt een bepaalde helderheid mee met een mooi aanwezig middengebied, en dit maakt deze Taylor tot een uitstekende keuze voor de fingerstyle-gitarist.
Deze 414CE is in 2005 gebouwd voor de Duitse markt, zoals te lezen is op de cover van de trussrod. Op de 12e fret is ook te lezen dat het een hier om een Limited Edition gaat, en deze gitaar is nummer 21 van de 51. De gitaar heeft op zowel het bovenblad, de klankkast als de hals speelsporen en dings verzameld, met daarbij ook hairline cracks in de lak op het bovenblad bij beide tailles. De gitaar is overduidelijk flink bespeeld, maar dat hoor je ook in de mooi ingespeelde klank!
De gitaar wordt met TFOA paspoort geleverd in een koffer.
The guitar features a beautiful walnut back and sides with a cedar top. Cedar is known for its warmth and responsiveness to a light touch, while walnut is a kind of middle ground between mahogany and rosewood. It brings a certain brightness with a beautifully defined midrange, making this Taylor an excellent choice for fingerstyle guitarists.
This 414CE was built in 2005 for the German market, as can be read on the cover of the truss rod. The 12th fret also indicates that this is a Limited Edition, and this guitar is number 21 of 51. The guitar has accumulated playwear and dings on the top, back and sides, and neck, including hairline cracks in the finish on the top at both necks. The guitar has clearly been played quite a bit, and you can hear that in the beautifully played tone!
The guitar comes with a TFOA passport and comes in a hardshell case.
Die Gitarre verfügt über einen wunderschönen Boden und Zargen aus Walnussholz mit einer Zederndecke. Zederholz ist bekannt für seinen warmen Klang und seine Ansprache bei leichter Berührung, während Walnussholz eine Art Mittelweg zwischen Mahagoni und Palisander darstellt. Die Gitarre weist Spielspuren und Dellen an Decke, Boden, Zargen und Hals auf, darunter Haarrisse im Lack der Decke an beiden Hälsen. Die Gitarre wurde eindeutig viel gespielt, was man an ihrem wunderbar gespielten Klang hört! Die Gitarre wird mit einem TFOA-Pass und einem Hartschalenkoffer geliefert.
