Collings' Waterloo-lijn brengt de charme en het karakter van pre-war Amerikaanse gitaren terug naar het heden. De WL-S Deluxe eert de decoratieve traditie van budget-vriendelijke maar esthetisch rijke gitaren uit de Grote Depressie, toen merken zoals Stella muzikanten voorzagen van betaalbare instrumenten met een verrassend mooie afwerking.
Alle Waterloo gitaren worden met de hand gebouwd in Austin, Texas, waarbij traditionele bouwmethoden zoals ladder bracing worden gecombineerd met moderne verbeteringen zoals een verstelbare truss rod. Het resultaat is een gitaar die vintage speelgevoel en authenticiteit combineert met hedendaagse betrouwbaarheid.
De WL-S Deluxe onderscheidt zich door zijn kersenhout klankkast, een houtsoort die uitzonderlijke balans en articulatie biedt met een warm, genuanceerd karakter. Het sparren bovenblad is afgewerkt met een getinte semi-gloss nitrocellulose lak die de subtiliteiten van de ladder bracing fraai naar voren brengt!
De gitaar beschikt over een vintage correcte "Soft-V" halsprofiel die comfortabel in de hand ligt, een slotted headstock en een pyramid bridge met cutthrough saddle. De sierlijke houten purfling en custom acrylic bloemenmotieven op de toets geven de gitaar zijn kenmerkende elegante uitstraling. Wordt geleverd in een hardshell koffer met TFOA-paspoort.
