The Martin D45 is one of the most ornate guitar models ever made. The first D45 was built in the 1930s and it is still one of the most striking and impressive models Martin makes. Martin's top model features hand-inlaid abalone on the top, back, sides and even along the heel.

De Martin D-45 onderscheidt zich niet alleen door de uitbundige versiering, maar ook door de allerbeste toonhoutsoorten die Martin selecteert voor dit absolute topmodel. Deze dreadnought is gebouwd met een klassieke combinatie van Indisch palissander voor de achter- en zijkanten en een Sitka sparren bovenblad, wat resulteert in een indrukwekkend geluid.
Het klankkarakter biedt een uitzonderlijk dynamisch spectrum, met diepe lage tonen, vloeiende middentonen en sprankelende hoge tonen, verrijkt door de gefocuste maar warme respons van Sitka sparren dat precies de juiste hoeveelheid boventonen doorlaat. Zowel fingerstyle spelers als bluegrass gitaristen zullen zich hier direct thuis op voelen.
Deze D-45 is inmiddels 19 jaar oud en verkeert in uitstekende conditie, met slechts lichte speelsporen en enkele krasjes, voornamelijk op de achterkant van de body. Het brugzadel is wat aan de lage kant, maar de gitaar heeft in onze werkplaats een volledige PLEK beurt gekregen en speelt daardoor bijzonder soepel. Met subtiele speelsporen en prachtig craquelé is deze D-45 uitgegroeid tot een schitterende klassieker en een waardevolle aanvulling op elke collectie.

Now 19 years old, this D-45 is in excellent condition, showing only light playwear and some surface scratches, mainly on the back of the body. The saddle is a little on the low side, but the guitar has received a full PLEK setup in our workshop and plays beautifully smooth. With subtle signs of play and fine lacquer checking, this D-45 has matured into a stunning almost-vintage classic and makes a worthy addition to any collection.

Diese 19 Jahre alte D-45 ist in ausgezeichnetem Zustand und weist nur leichte Gebrauchsspuren und einige Kratzer auf der Oberfläche auf, hauptsächlich auf der Rückseite des Korpus. Der Sattel ist etwas niedrig, aber die Gitarre wurde in unserer Werkstatt einer vollständigen PLEK-Einstellung unterzogen und spielt sich wunderbar geschmeidig. Mit subtilen Gebrauchsspuren und feinen Lackrissen ist diese D-45 zu einem atemberaubenden Vintage-Klassiker gereift und eine würdige Ergänzung für jede Sammlung.
