PRS DGT Black Gold Burst 2019

David Grissom, een hoeksteen in de Texaanse blues, is een van PRS' langstzittende Signature Artists. Davids uitgebreide tourervaring en nauwgezette feedback hebben een cruciale rol gespeeld bij het vormgeven van talloze PRS-producten, van lang vóór de introductie van zijn signature DGT-gitaar en DG 30-versterker tot nu.


De DGT is gebaseerd op het McCarty-platform, met een unieke DGT-halsvorm, hogere frets, speciale pickups en een herziene bedieningselementen. Grissom en Paul hebben een jaar lang meer dan veertig pickupsets getest voordat ze de vintage DGT-humbuckers perfectioneerden. De volume- en toonregeling van deze gitaar maken hem ongelooflijk veelzijdig. Hij beschikt over twee aparte volumeregelaars, die elk de output van de bijbehorende humbucker regelen. Bovendien functioneert de toonregeling als een coil split, wat in totaal zes verschillende toonopties biedt.


Deze DGT uit 2019 is afgewerkt in een prachtige Black Gold Burst-finish. De gitaar heeft speelsporen op de body, waarvan enkele dings op het bovenblad en de verweerde lak op de armrest het meest in het oog springen. Ook op de achterzijde van de hals zijn dings te vinden, net als op een van de punten van de headstock. De gitaar is verder zeer schoon en wordt met TFOA paspoort geleverd in een koffer.

A cornerstone of Texas blues, David Grissom is one of PRS’ longest-serving Signature Artists. David’s extensive touring experience and meticulous feedback have played a crucial role in shaping countless PRS products, from long before the introduction of his signature DGT guitar and DG 30 amplifier to the present day.


The DGT is based on the McCarty platform, featuring a unique DGT neck shape, higher frets, custom pickups, and revised controls. Grissom and Paul spent a year testing over forty sets of pickups before perfecting the vintage DGT humbuckers. The guitar’s volume and tone controls make it incredibly versatile. It features two separate volume controls, each controlling the output of its corresponding humbucker. Additionally, the tone control functions as a coil split, offering a total of six different tonal options.


This 2019 DGT is finished in a stunning Black Gold Burst finish. The guitar has playwear on the body, of which a few dings on the top and the weathered lacquer on the armrest are the most noticeable. Dings can also be found on the back of the neck, as well as on one of the points of the headstock. The guitar is otherwise very clean and comes with a TFOA passport in a case.

Das DGT basiert auf der McCarty-Plattform und verfügt über eine einzigartige DGT-Halsform, höhere Bünde, spezielle Tonabnehmer und überarbeitete Bedienelemente. Grissom und Paul haben ein Jahr lang über vierzig Tonabnehmersätze getestet, bevor sie die Vintage-DGT-Humbucker perfektioniert haben. Die Lautstärke- und Klangregler dieser Gitarre machen sie unglaublich vielseitig. Es verfügt über zwei separate Lautstärkeregler, von denen jeder die Ausgabe des entsprechenden Humbuckers steuert. Darüber hinaus fungiert die Klangregelung als Coil-Split und bietet insgesamt sechs verschiedene Klangoptionen.


Dieser 2019er DGT hat ein wunderschönes Black Gold Burst-Finish. Die Gitarre weist Spielspuren am Korpus auf, wobei einige Dellen auf der Oberseite und der verwitterte Lack auf der Armlehne am auffälligsten sind. Auch auf der Rückseite des Halses sowie an einer der Spitzen der Kopfplatte können Dellen zu finden sein. Die Gitarre ist ansonsten sehr sauber und wird mit einem TFOA-Pass in einem Koffer geliefert.
