Collings OM1A Torrified Adirondack

From the moment we took it out of its case we noticed that this guitar has that little "something extra" we're always looking for. Strung with 012 it surprised us with a warm and rich bouquet of tones, impressive in detailing and even more impressive tonally.

This OM1 makes use of the 14-fret OM or Orchestra Model body shape designed by Martin Guitars back in the 1930s, but upgraded by Collings with a couple of high end features, like a torrified Adirondack spruce top providing a complex sound and a tight response on top of that typical, warm, bluesy character. The 1 3/4 nutwidth gives a little more space on the fingerboard for complex fingerstyle playing. Being a Collings, this instrument is truly in a class of its own with immaculate detailing and build quality. This OM1 A features stunning pieces of wood with a subtle flame in the Honduran Mahogany and a narrowly flamed, nicely toned Adirondack soundboard.
