Rickenbacker 4003S 5-String Jetglo
De Rickenbacker 4003S met dot-inlays en zonder binding werd gewaardeerd door Paul McCartney en Chris Squire toen ze in 1964 hun eerste 4001S-modellen kregen. Spelers koesteren het traditionele uiterlijk en de afgeronde randen die haar volgens velen comfortabeler maken dan de 4003.
Deze 4003S/5 voegt een extra B-snaar toe aan de klassieke Rickenbacker-bas en verbreedt daarmee ook het toonbereik voor extra veelzijdigheid. Het neck-through ontwerp heeft een esdoornhals met esdoornvleugels en is afgewerkt in een klassieke Jetglo-afwerking. De nieuwe single-coil pickups zijn speciaal opnieuw ontworpen voor deze 5-snarige bas, waarbij er twee bladmagneten gebruikt zijn die breder uit elkaar staan en zo een groter magnetisch veld creëren, en een gebalanceerde diepe klank over alle 5 snaren geeft. De Schaller 3D-5 brug maakt het afstellen van deze bas een fluitje van een cent en geeft deze Rick een bredere snaarafstand samen met de bredere hals.
