Waar Atkin al geruime tijd bewijst dat het merk als geen ander een gitaar kan bouwen, is het aging-proces misschien wel het meest indrukwekkende aspect van Atkin Guitars. De passie waarmee deze instrumenten gemaakt zijn straalt er vanaf, en het is moeilijk om niet verliefd te worden op zowel de klank als het uiterlijk.
De Dust Bowl Series is geïnspireerd op de depression era-gitaren uit de jaren '30, en bestaat uit gitaren die volledig uit mahonie gemaakt zijn, gecomplementeerd door een toets van Indisch palissander. De gitaren hebben een lichtgewicht constructie en hebben een heerlijk comfortabele bespeelbaarheid.
De gitaren uit de Dust Bowl Series hebben een volle, rijke en droge klank met voldoende kracht in het middenbereik, terwijl er voldoende warmte en openheid over alle snaren bewaard blijft om elke gitarist tevreden te houden. While Atkin has been proving for some time that the brand can build a guitar like no other, the aging process is perhaps the most impressive aspect of Atkin Guitars. The passion with which these instruments were made radiates from it, and it is difficult not to fall in love with both the sound and the appearance.
The Dust Bowl Series is inspired by the depression era guitars from the 1930s, and consists of guitars made entirely of mahogany, complemented by an Indian rosewood fingerboard. The guitars have a lightweight construction and are wonderfully comfortable to play.
The Dust Bowl Series guitars have a full, rich and dry tone with enough power in the mid-range, while retaining enough warmth and openness across all strings to keep any guitarist happy. The bass has piano-like articulation, while the treble is beautifully rounded.
The Atkin 00014 Dust Bowl is supplied with a certificate of authenticity in a TKL hardshell case.
