Atkin OM37 Natural Heavy Aged
Waar Atkin al geruime tijd bewijst dat het merk als geen ander een gitaar kan bouwen, is het aging-proces misschien wel het meest indrukwekkende aspect van Atkin Guitars.
Atkin gaat bij deze OM37 nog een stukje verder met de 'heavy aging' afwerking. Daarnaast laat deze OM37 zien dat ze geïnspireerd is door een 'andere' vintage gitaar dan de standaard Atkin. De bleke top laat lichte verkleuringen zien en wordt natuurlijk getekend door de verschillende sporen.
De essentie van deze OM37 is de palissander klankkast, gepaard met een gebakken Sitka bovenblad en ondersteunt met hand-scalloped bracing. De mahoniehouten hals bevat een palissander toets met 'old school' short pattern Diamond & Squares inlay en palissander kopplaat, en tot slot de uitzinnige klank en perfect verouderde lak die je meteen doet denken aan een Martin uit de jaren 40.

Atkin takes this OM37 a step further with the 'heavy aging' finish. In addition, this OM37 shows that it is inspired by a different vintage guitar than the standard Atkin. The pale top shows slight discolouration and is naturally marked by the various marks.
The essence of this OM37 is the rosewood back and sides, paired with a baked Sitka top and supported with hand-scalloped bracing. The mahogany neck features a rosewood fingerboard with 'old school' short-pattern Diamond & Squares inlay and rosewood headstock, and finally the frenzied sound and perfectly aged lacquer that immediately reminds you of a 1940s Martin.

Atkin geht bei diesem OM37 einen Schritt weiter mit der "heavy aging" Finish. Zusätzlich zeigt dieses OM37, dass es von einer anderen Vintage-Gitarre inspiriert ist als die Standard-Atkin. Die helle Decke zeigt leichte Verfärbungen und ist natürlich von den verschiedenen Markierungen gezeichnet.
Die Essenz dieses OM37 ist das Palisander-Deck und die -Zargen, kombiniert mit einer gebackenen Sitka-Decke und unterstützt von handgeschliffenen Verstrebungen. Der Mahagonihals verfügt über ein Palisander-Griffbrett mit 'alte Schule' kurzmuster Diamond & Squares Einlage und Palisander-Kopfplatte, und schließlich der kraftvolle Klang und der perfekt gealterte Lack, der sofort an eine Martin aus den 1940er Jahren erinnert.
