Guild D55 Natural USA

Guild D-55 met natural finish. De D-55 werd voor het eerst geïntroduceerd in 1968 als "special-order"model maar werd zo goed ontvangen dat Guild het model in 1974 aan de reguliere productielijn toevoegde. De D-55 werd bespeeld door Tommy Smothers tijdens de Smothers Brothers Show in jaren zestig, hierna groeide de D-55 in populariteit en in de decennia daarna vond de D-55 de weg naar artiesten als Waylon Jennings, Billie Joe Armstrong en David Nail. Nu is de Guild D-55 is terug, en is ze beter dan ooit.

De D-55 blijft trouw aan de hoogwaardige specificaties van het origineel uit 1968. Zo heeft de gitaar een AAA Sitka sparren top, massief Indisch Palissander klankkast, ebbenhouten toets en brug en nitrocelluloseafwerking. Interne verbeteringen zijn de scalloped Adirondack-braces en een verbeterde zwaluwstaart-nekverbinding, De nieuwe generatie D-55 is de lichtste, luidste en best klinkende tot nu toe.

De D-55 heeft de legendarische Guild ombonden headstock met Guild "Peak and Shield" inleg op de ebbenhouten kopplaat. De bijpassende ebbenhouten toets is ook volledig ombonden en ingelegd met Guild's iconische abalone / pearl "V-Blocks" en multi-line "railroad track" inleg. De toets van de D-55 bevindt zich op een volledig mahonie hals. De nitro-afwerking van de D-55 wordt met de hand aangebracht voor optimale dikte en maximale resonantie. The most anticipated return of a Guild acoustic to date, the 2017 Guild D-55 is back and better than ever.

The D-55 showcases Guild’s most recognizable headstock which is fully bound and features the Guild “Peak and Shield” inlay combination over a figured ebony overlay. The matching ebony fingerboard is also fully bound and inlayed with Guild’s iconic abalone/pearl “V-Blocks” and multi-line “railroad track” purfling on the bass and treble sides. The D-55’s fingerboard is set on an all-mahogany neck with beautiful walnut center seam running the length of the heel to headstock. The D-55’s nitro finish is available in natural or Antique Burst and is hand sprayed for minimum thickness and maximum resonance that will only get better with age. The guitar includes a hand-signed certificate of authenticity and ships with Guild’s Premium humidified hardshell case.
