Fender introduceerde de Precision Bass in 1951, en het dikke geluid en de onverwoestbare bouw veranderde de muziekwereld compleet. Ondanks de enkele pickup is de bas bijzonder veelzijdig, en dit blijkt ook uit het feit dat je de Precision Bass in elke muzikale situatie kunt tegenkomen. De elzenhouten body van de bas is gehuld in een van Fenders meest kenmerkende kleurstellingen, 3 Color Sunburst. De tortoise slagplaat maakt het plaatje compleet, en de esdoorn hals met palissander veneer toets laat zich nog steeds zeer soepel bespelen. Despite the single pickup, the bass is extremely versatile, and this is also evident from the fact that you can encounter the Precision Bass in any musical situation. The alder body of the bass is wrapped in one of Fender's most characteristic color schemes, 3 Color Sunburst. The tortoise pickguard completes the picture, and the maple neck with rosewood veneer fingerboard is still very smooth to play. The original open-gear tuners and 4-saddle bridge keep this vintage Precision perfectly in tune.
The bass is in excellent condition for its age, with normal playwear that only enhances the character of this instrument. On the technical side, we find a shim in the neck pocket to optimize the neck angle. Under the pickguard we find two original Stackpole potentiometers from the 18th week of 1966. Furthermore, we see the date stamp 6JUL66C on the neck, and this indicates a P-Bass neck from July 1966 with a top nut width of 44.5 mm.
