Indian Hill Custom Steel String 12 Fret Wenge Sitka Varnish 2013

Michael Kennedy liep stage bij de bekende Canadese luthier Sergei De Jonge en heeft sindsdien steeds indrukwekkender werk verricht. Hoewel hij nu gitaren bouwt onder zijn eigen naam, werden zijn eerdere gitaren gemaakt onder de naam 'Sergei De Jonge'. Deze 12-fret heeft een iets grotere lichaamsafmetingen dan de gemiddelde OM. Het is dan ook geen verrassing dat deze gitaar behoorlijk wat volume kan produceren, wat dankzij het klankgat ook naar de speler zelf wordt gericht.


Hij heeft een sparren bovenblad, wenge zijde's en een driedelige wenge/zebrano achterkant. Hoewel dit al een geweldige uitstraling creëert, is de gitaar versierd met houten details op de toets, brug, biezen en rozet. Bij elke gitaar streeft Michael ernaar de optimale balans te vinden tussen geluid, esthetiek en structurele integriteit, zonder concessies te doen aan een van deze drie, en dat is gelukt!


Deze Indian Hill heeft wat lichte gebruikssporen zowel op zijn klankkast als op zijn hals. Desalniettemin ziet deze 12 fret er nog ontzettend schoon uit en verkeert hij dan ook in excellente conditie! Wordt geleverd in een koffer met TFOA-paspoort.

Michael Kennedy apprenticed with the renowned Canadian luthier Sergei De Jonge and has since produced increasingly impressive work. While he now builds guitars under his own name, his earlier guitars were made under the name 'Sergei De Jonge'. This 12-fret model has slightly larger body dimensions than the average OM. It's no surprise that this guitar can produce a considerable volume, which, thanks to the soundhole, is also directed towards the player.


It features a spruce top, wenge sides, and a three-piece wenge/zebrano back. While this already creates a fantastic appearance, the guitar is adorned with wooden details on the fretboard, bridge, purfling, and rosette. With each guitar, Michael strives to achieve the optimal balance between sound, aesthetics, and structural integrity, without compromising any of these three, and he has succeeded!


This Indian Hill shows some light signs of use on both its body and neck. Nevertheless, this 12-fret looks incredibly clean and is in excellent condition! It comes with a case and TFOA passport.

Michael Kennedy absolvierte sein Praktikum beim renommierten kanadischen Gitarrenbauer Sergei De Jonge und hat seitdem zunehmend beeindruckende Arbeit geleistet. Während er jetzt Gitarren unter seinem eigenen Namen baut, wurden seine früheren Gitarren unter dem Namen 'Sergei De Jonge' gefertigt. Dieses 12-Bund-Modell hat etwas größere Körpermaße als der durchschnittliche OM. Es ist daher keine Überraschung, dass diese Gitarre ziemlich viel Lautstärke erzeugen kann, die dank des Schalllochs auch zum Spieler selbst gerichtet ist.


Sie verfügt über eine Fichtendecke, Wenge-Seiten und einen dreiteiligen Wenge/Zebrano-Rücken. Obwohl dies bereits ein fantastisches Erscheinungsbild schafft, ist die Gitarre mit Holzdetails auf Griffbrett, Steg, Einlegearbeiten und Rosette verziert. Bei jeder Gitarre strebt Michael danach, die optimale Balance zwischen Klang, Ästhetik und struktureller Integrität zu finden, ohne dabei eine der drei zu vernachlässigen, und das ist ihm gelungen!


Diese Indian Hill zeigt leichte Gebrauchsspuren sowohl am Korpus als auch am Hals. Trotzdem sieht dieses 12-Bund-Modell noch immer sehr gepflegt aus und befindet sich in ausgezeichnetem Zustand! Es wird mit einem Koffer und einem TFOA-Pass geliefert.
