Met de introductie van de Les Paul Deluxe in 1969 maakte Gibson een ommekeer in de specificaties van het iconische model. Tot dan toe werden de Les Pauls uitgerust met P90-elementen, maar door de vraag naar elementen die minder brom veroorzaakten werden deze vervangen door de kleinere versie van de reguliere humbuckers. Door het kleinere formaat hebben deze pickups een heldere en gefocuste toon.
Deze Les Paul is gemaakt van mahonie en afgewerkt met een esdoorn top, en doordat de body geheel massief is heeft de gitaar een robuust gewicht. Afgewerkt met een crèmekleurige binding en hardware die trouw is aan tijdsgeest waaruit de gitaar afkomstig is resulteert dit in een stijlvolle look voor deze klassieker uit de gitaarhistorie.
De gitaar wordt met TFOA paspoort geleverd in een koffer.
With the introduction of the Les Paul Deluxe in 1969, Gibson revolutionized the specifications of the iconic model. Until then, the Les Pauls were equipped with P90 pickups, but due to the demand for pickups that caused less hum, these were replaced by the smaller version of the regular humbuckers. Due to the smaller size, these pickups have a clear and focused tone.

Mit der Einführung der Les Paul Deluxe im Jahr 1969 revolutionierte Gibson die Spezifikationen des legendären Modells. Bis dahin waren die Les Pauls mit P90-Tonabnehmern ausgestattet, aber aufgrund der Nachfrage nach Tonabnehmern, die weniger Brummen verursachten, wurden diese durch die kleinere Version der regulären Humbucker ersetzt.
