Tegenwoordig zijn we helemaal gewend geraakt aan de weelde en innovatieve kenmerken van Kevin Ryan gitaren. Maar als we iets verder terug in de tijd kijken, dan zien we dat ook zij traditionele western gitaren hebben gemaakt. De kwaliteit en klank uiteraard van de bovenste plank!
Geen 'acoustic flutes' of EO bracing met 'Honeycomb', maar 'gewoon' een OM bodyformaat van Indisch palissander met een ceder bovenblad en scalloped X-bracing. Het oog wordt wel getrakteerd op een mooi vormgegeven ebbenhouten brug, abalone purfling en rozet, en palissander kopplaat. De stemmechanieken zijn vervangen en deze Mission Grand draagt nu Gotoh 510 mechanieken uit de Delta Series.
De speelsporen, dings op het bovenblad, en ingebouwde Fishman pickup laten zien dat hij waarschijnlijk veel tijd in de studio of op het podium heeft doorgebracht. Hij is daarom ook al goed ingespeeld en de warme klank is open en helder. De achterkant van de klankkast heeft een nette gerepareerde crack, maar verder verkeert deze gitaar in zeer goede conditie.
Inclusief een koffer met TFOA paspoort.

Nowadays, we have become completely accustomed to the opulence and innovative features of Kevin Ryan guitars. But if we look a little further back in time, we see that they too made traditional western guitars. Top-notch quality and sound, of course!
No 'acoustic flutes' or EO bracing with 'Honeycomb', but 'just' an OM body size of Indian rosewood with a cedar top and scalloped X-bracing. The eye is treated to a nicely designed ebony bridge, abalone purfling and rosette, and rosewood headstock overlay. The tuning machines have been replaced and this Mission Grand now carries Gotoh 510 tuners from the Delta Series.
The playwear, dings on the top, and built-in Fishman pickup show that it has probably spent a lot of time in the studio or on stage. It is therefore already well played in and the warm sound is open and clear. The back of the body has a neatly repaired crack, but otherwise this guitar is in very good condition.
Includes a hardshell case with TFOA passport.

Heutzutage haben wir uns völlig an die Opulenz und die innovativen Merkmale der Kevin Ryan-Gitarren gewöhnt. Aber wenn wir ein wenig weiter in die Vergangenheit zurückblicken, sehen wir, dass sie auch traditionelle Westerngitarren gebaut haben. Natürlich in erstklassiger Qualität und mit erstklassigem Klang!
Keine 'akustischen Flöten' oder EO-Bracing mit 'Honeycomb', sondern 'nur' eine OM-Korpusgröße aus indischem Palisander mit einer Zederndecke und Scalloped X-Bracing. Das Auge erfreut sich jedoch an einem schön gestalteten Ebenholzsteg, einer Abalone-Einlage und einer Rosette sowie einer Kopfplatte aus Palisander. Die Mechaniken wurden ersetzt und diese Mission Grand trägt nun Gotoh 510 Mechaniken aus der Delta Serie.
Die Spielspuren, Dellen auf der Decke und der eingebaute Fishman-Tonabnehmer zeigen, dass sie wahrscheinlich viel Zeit im Studio oder auf der Bühne verbracht hat. Sie ist also schon gut eingespielt und der warme Klang ist offen und klar. Die Rückseite des Resonanzkörpers hat einen sauberen, reparierten Riss, aber ansonsten ist diese Gitarre in sehr gutem Zustand.
Inklusive einem Koffer mit TFOA-Pass.
