De Martin D35 vindt zijn oorsprong in 1965, toen Martin vanwege het te kleine formaat van de beschikbare delen Braziliaans palissander de tweedelige achterzijde verruilde voor een driedelige. Voorzien van dit opvallende kenmerk vond de D35 een plek tussen de iconische D28 en de meer gedecoreerde gitaren zoals de D41 en D45. Maar als je zo'n geweldig mooie achterkant en zijkanten van Braziliaans palissander hebt, zoals deze D35 uit 1969, heb je niet veel decoratie nodig!
Bovendien geeft het deze dreadnought een diep en gebalanceerd geluid dat zijn kracht demonstreert tijdens het strummen. Een ander belangrijk kenmerk waren echter de lichtere braces, waardoor de Martin D35 destijds de gitaar was met de meest bevredigende basrespons. De mahoniehouten hals heeft een comfortabel 'rond V'-profiel en is een genot om op te spelen.
Hijheeft wat zorg en onderhoud gekregen om hem in goede staat te houden. Naast de gebruikelijke speelsporen heeft hij een paar gerepareerde cracks op het bovenblad, enkele nieuwe braces en een nieuwere brugplaat. Een neck reset en refret maken de bespeelbaarheid van dit fijne instrument optimaal.

The Martin D35 has its origins in 1965, when Martin exchanged the two-piece rear for a three-piece due to the small size of the available pieces of Brazilian rosewood. Boasting this distinctive feature, the D35 found a place between the iconic D28 and the more decorated guitars such as the D41 and D45. But when you got such amazingly beautiful Brazilian rosewood back and sides such as this 1969 D35, you don't need much decoration!
Moreover, it gives this dreadnought a deep and balanced sound that demonstrates its power when strumming. Another important feature however were the lighter braces making the Martin D35 the guitar with the most satisfying bass response at the time. The mahogany neck features a comfortable 'round V' profile and is a joy to play.
It has received some care and maintenance to keep it in good condition. Besides the usual playwear, it has a couple repaired cracks on the top, some new braces and a newer bridge plate. A neck reset and refret make the playability of this fine instrument in optimal shape.

Der Martin D35 hat seinen Ursprung im Jahr 1965, als Martin aufgrund der geringen Größe der verfügbaren Stücke aus brasilianischem Palisander die zweiteilige Rückseite gegen eine dreiteilige austauschte. Mit dieser Besonderheit fand die D35 einen Platz zwischen der legendären D28 und den höher dekorierten Gitarren wie der D41 und D45. Aber wenn Sie einen so unglaublich schönen Boden und Zargen aus brasilianischem Palisander wie diese D35 von 1969 haben, brauchen Sie nicht viel Dekoration!
Darüber hinaus verleiht es dieser Dreadnought einen tiefen und ausgewogenen Klang, der beim Anschlagen seine Kraft unter Beweis stellt. Ein weiteres wichtiges Merkmal waren jedoch die leichteren Streben, die die Martin D35 zur Gitarre mit der zufriedenstellendsten Basswiedergabe ihrer Zeit machten. Der Mahagoni-Hals verfügt über ein komfortables „Rund-V“-Profil und bietet viel Spielfreude.
Es wurde sorgfältig gepflegt und gewartet, um es in gutem Zustand zu halten. Neben den üblichen Spielspuren weist es ein paar reparierte Risse an der Oberseite, einige neue Streben und eine neuere Brückenplatte auf. Eine Halsrückstellung und ein Refret bringen die Spielbarkeit dieses feinen Instruments optimal auf Vordermann.
