De OMJM John Mayer Special Edition heeft een bovenblad van massief Engelmann sparren en achterkant en zijkanten van geselecteerd massief zeer fraai Indisch palissander. Een erg smaakvol design met een Stijl 45 rozet van Paua-shell (abalone), herringbone randinleg, fraaie bindingen en traditionele OM 'teardrop' slagplaat. Fraaie aged toner en nitocellulose-hoogglans afwerking maken het uiterlijk compleet. Deze prachtige OM, oftewel Orchestra Model, biedt zeer veel mogelijkheden en is buitengewoon veelzijdig.
Het OM model dat al sinds 1930 op de markt is heeft inmiddels bewezen één van de meest veelzijdige gitaren op de markt te zijn en is buitengewoon geschikt voor voor de diverse muzieksoorten van vandaag de dag. De OMJM is uitgerust met een Fishman pickup en fraaie open stemmechanieken en is aan de binnenkant voorzien van een gesigneerd John Mayer special edition label. In light of his ever-expanding reputation and fan base, Martin collaborated with John Mayer on the creation of a second namesake guitar, one with many of the same attributes as his first OM-28JM Limited Edition, but one that would be more affordable and more widely available in the tradition of the popular Martin 000-28EC Eric Clapton model.
It has a very tasteful design with abalone rosette, herringbone trim, ivoroid binding and traditional OM teardrop pickguard. A beautiful aged toner and nitrocellose finish complete the look of this instrument.
