Paul Doyle Medium OM Cutaway Sitka Spruce 2010

Instrument building started with Paul Doyle's grandfather, Francis J Doyle Senior who started building violins. The love of instrument building passed on to Francis J Doyle Junior and then to his son, Paul Doyle.

Paul's luthier activities started in his teens building electric guitars, but he later also built other instruments such as mandolins and dulcimers. Now, he has decades of experience and his instruments have their own character and appearance.

The oval sound hole, the Florentine cutaway, and the shape of the headstock immediately catch the eye of this Medium guitar. The dimensions of the guitar are between an OM and Grand Auditorium, which means that it can produce a lot of volume, but also plays comfortably. The clear, full sound is also due to the rosewood back and sides together with the 900 year old Sitka spruce top.

It is in good condition, and has already had a few repairs. For example, 3 cracks have been repaired on the top behind the bridge, including the 'center seam'. Two repaired cracks can also be seen on the back of the body and the 'center seam' has been repaired, after the lacquer has gotten a touch up over this part.

Comes in a hardshell case with certificate.
