De Thornbucker II-brugpickup is de nieuwste evolutie van Pete's kenmerkende Suhr-pickup. Een nieuwe winding, een nieuwe magneet, een nieuwe signature Pete Thorn-toon. Met behoud van de warmte en helderheid van de originele Thornbucker, maar met een krachtige punch en full-spectrum body. Dit nieuwe ontwerp is terug te vinden in Pete's nieuwe Signature Standard HSS.
Pete is altijd geïnspireerd geweest door de "hot PAF into a cranked plexi" tonen die een legendarische gitarist gebruikte om magie te creëren in de jaren '70 en '80. Dit nieuwe ontwerp begint met onze speciale Thornbucker-wind, met nog een paar windingen op de spoel, tot 9k, gecombineerd met een Alnico II-magneet. De Alnico II geeft meer een warme top-end die perfect samengaat met een high-gain, Brits geluid. Het resultaat is dat hoge tonen body en openheid hebben, zonder al te veel top-end. Warmte, kracht, zachtheid en helderheid.
