Om meer dan 50 jaar aan gitaarbouw te eren bracht Takamine in 2013 een gelimiteerde serie gitaren uit, The Peak. De gitaar heeft het compact parlor-formaat van de New Yorker, en staat symbool voor de constante verbetering van Takamine, het concept 'Peak'. Dit is afgeleid van het feit dat het bedrijf is gevestigd op Mt. Takamine in Japan. Men streeft ernaar de beste gitaar mogelijk te bouwen met de beschikbare materialen en technieken, en zo de top van de gitaarbouwkunst te bereiken.
Deze Takamine is opgebouwd uit een klankkast van massief sapele en een massief Sitka sparren bovenblad. Prachtige gedetailleerd inglegwerk siert de gitaar, met als hoogtepunt de bergbeklimmer op de palissander toets. De gitaar heeft een een warme, volle klank met een uitstekende projectie, en is door de ingebouwde pickup met Takamine's eigen CT4B II voorversterker is de gitaar ook versterkt te gebruiken.
De gitaar heeft lichte speelsporen en enkele dings op het bovenblad, maar is verder zeer schoon. De gitaar wordt met TFOA paspoort en Takamine-certificaat geleverd in de originele koffer.

Takamine in Japan. The aim is to build the best guitar possible with the available materials and techniques, and thus reach the top of guitar building art.
This Takamine is constructed from a solid sapele back and forth and a solid Sitka spruce top. Beautifully detailed inlay work adorns the guitar, highlighted by the mountaineer on the rosewood fingerboard. The guitar has a warm, full sound with excellent projection, and the guitar can also be used amplified thanks to the built-in pickup with Takamine's own CT4B II preamplifier.
The guitar has light playwear and some dings on the top, but is otherwise very clean. The guitar comes with TFOA passport and Takamine certificate in the original hardshell case.

Dies ergibt sich aus der Tatsache, dass sich das Unternehmen auf dem Berg befindet. Takamine in Japan. Ziel ist es, mit den verfügbaren Materialien und Techniken die bestmögliche Gitarre zu bauen und so die Spitze der Gitarrenbaukunst zu erreichen.
Diese Takamine besteht aus einer massiven Sapeli-Korpusse und einer massiven Sitka-Fichtendecke. Wunderschön detaillierte Intarsien zieren die Gitarre, hervorgehoben durch den Bergsteiger auf dem Palisandergriffbrett. Die Gitarre hat einen warmen, vollen Klang mit hervorragender Projektion und kann dank des eingebauten Tonabnehmers mit Takamines eigenem CT4B II-Vorverstärker auch verstärkt verwendet werden.
Die Gitarre hat leichte Spielspuren und einige Beulen auf der Decke, ist aber ansonsten sehr sauber. Die Gitarre wird mit TFOA-Pass und Takamine-Zertifikat im Original-Hartschalenkoffer geliefert.
