De moderne 12 inch toetsradius en medium jumbo frets zorgen voor gemakkelijke en comfortabele speelbaarheid.
Een ander interessant detail is de 4-wegschakeling, die een extra klankoptie voor de speler toevoegt. In de extra positie worden de hals- en brugpickups in serie gecombineerd voor een vettere, bijna humbuckerachtige toon. Het voegt een toffe extra veelzijdigheid toe aan een sowieso al veelzijdige gitaar.
De Fat 50's pick-upset biedt echt open klinkende pickups, erg warm in de hals en alle twang die je maar wilt in de brug.
